Vision of the Strigiformes

My friend is collecting owl themed art right now and wanted me to do a painting for him that would fit with a bunch of other pieces. It had to be a night scene with two owls, one large and one small, chillin on a gnarled dead branch with big piercing eyes. No crazy flying or swooping poses this time. The markings are inspired from the Western Screech Owl, Megascops Kennicottii.
